So, you want to win prizes from BEN-FM. Here are the basic contest parameters you need to know.
• Remember to read the specific contest rules carefully. Some prizes have limitations, black out dates for trips, etc.

WBEN-FM GENERAL CONTEST RULES
These rules are applicable to all WBEN-FM contests unless the individual contest rules differ, in which case the individual contest rules will govern as to the specific differences.
NO PURCHASE OR OTHER CONSIDERATION IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE; PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
For call-to-win contests: Winner qualification is subject to FULL phone call completion, and the verification of the caller’s name, address, home phone number, work/cell phone number and social security number, all of which must be provided prior to completion of the call. Contest calls will not be accepted at any number other than the one specified in the rules.
(1) All contest entries will become the property of Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
(2) Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.

(6) Winners will be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a WBEN-FM contest with a value over $50.00 within the previous 30 days. Winners will also be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a prize valued at One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or greater in the past 365 days.
(7) Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of Greater Media Philadelphia, its affiliates, the contest/promotion sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with WBEN-FM or any of the promotion sponsors, and other radio stations in WBEN-FM’s ADI (as defined by Arbitron) are not eligible. “Immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.”
(8) One entry per person; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant.
(9) Winners (and their guests, if any) will be required to sign a liability/publicity release before claiming the prize.
(10) WBEN-FM is not responsible for the performance of the prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance of any service provider, for any other risk, incident or damage relating to the acceptance and use of the prize, or for damage to a prize or loss of a prize after the prize has been claimed. (11) WBEN-FM is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this contest.
(12) Participation in contest constitutes full permission for WBEN-FM and promotion sponsors to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant's name, voice, recorded comments, biographical information, face and likeness without compensation.
(13) Winners are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize.

How to Enter for a Chance to Win
Beginning on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 and ending on Friday, August 28, 2009, BEN-FM will be conducting “Weird Lyric Wednesdays” during the contest period. Listen to 95.7 WBEN-FM each Wednesday or visit www.ILikeBENFM.com each Wednesday during the contest period for the “Lyric of the Day” and the location of the BEN-FM Crew.
Each Wednesday during the contest period, be one of the first five (5) people to show up at the announced location and sing the “Lyric of the Day” to the BEN-FM Crew. Each contestant must recite the “Lyric of the Day” accurately to win the daily Prize and be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. In the event of a tie for the fifth person, the Crew will conduct a random drawing on-site to determine the final daily winner. If any person engages in inappropriate or hazardous behavior (including, without limitation, pushing, shoving or other physical contact with another contestant) in an attempt to be one of the first five people, s/he will be disqualified in the Crew’s sole discretion.
Prize
BEN-FM (Station) will award the first five (5) people to show up at the announced location each Wednesday and sing the correct Lyric of the Day to the BEN-FM Crew a prize valued at a minimum of $25. All eligible participants from each month (May, June, July and August 2009) will be entered into a random drawing to win $500.00. Four (4) Grand Prizes will be awarded, one per month. Grand Prizes will be available within 4-6 weeks after winning the prize.
Odds of winning the Grand Prize each month are one in 20 (one in 25 for July). BEN-FM reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value. Winners may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any person other than the winner. Release forms and prize forms must be completed during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm at the office of WBEN-FM, One Bala Plaza 4th Floor, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, within 30 days from the date of winning. How to Enter for a Chance to Win
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. (E.T.) on Monday, June 15, 2009 and ending Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 12:59 p.m. (E.T.), WBEN-FM will be conducting the “Win BEN’s Venza” Contest. Listeners will have two ways to qualify:
(1) Listen to 95.7 WBEN-FM during the contest period and be caller nine (9) to 866-957-2363 when you hear the cue to call. BEN-FM will announce the hour(s) in which the cue to call will play at 7:05AM each weekday during the stated contest period. BEN-tourage members will be notified by email of the hour(s) in which the cue to call will play. Two (2) qualifiers per weekday (excluding holidays) will be selected through this method (28 total qualifiers).
(2) In addition to the on-air qualification process, three (3) additional qualifiers will be selected, one each week during the contest period, through a random drawing of names from the BEN-tourage VIP club. These three (3) qualifiers will be notified by phone or email. If a qualifier has not confirmed this notification by phone or in writing by Monday, July 13, 2009 at 5:00 p.m., an alternate qualifier may be selected from the BEN-tourage database.
Thirty-One (31) qualifiers will be selected in total throughout the contest period. Register for the BEN-tourage by visiting www.ILikeBENFM.com and click on the BEN-tourage link. Grand Prize Event
The thirty-one (31) qualifiers will be invited to attend a Grand Prize Event in the Philly area (date/time/place TBD) to determine the Grand Prize winner. At the event, each qualifier will be randomly assigned a number, one (1) through thirty one (31) (or lower number, if not all qualifiers are present), which will determine the order in which qualifiers will choose a Prize Box to determine if they are eligible to proceed to the finalist round.
The thirty-one qualifiers will then be narrowed down to ten (10) finalists who will each be randomly assigned a number, one (1) through ten (10) (or lower, if not all finalists are present), which will determine the order in which finalists choose an iPod touch® to determine if they are the Grand Prize winner. One device will play the winning message and the remainder will play an alternate message informing the finalists they have not won.
Prizes
WBEN-FM will award each qualifier [thirty one (31) total] a $50.00 gas card as a qualifying prize. Certain restrictions and expiration dates may apply, as stated on the gas card.
