The mission of the Lupus Foundation of America is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of lupus, support individuals and families affected by the disease, increase awareness of lupus among health professionals and families affected by the disease, and find the causes and a cure. Woman of the Week, Wendy Englehart suffers from Lupus and became involved with the Lupus Foundation of America (Southeastern Chapter) through her daughter’s high school in Springfield , PA. Thankfully, Wendy’s diagnosis does not slow her down, in fact, she’s in amazing shape and works at PureSpa in Ambler, PA. That’s where she and the Spa owner Mimi will do their part to create awareness and provide information about the Lupus Foundation. This Friday (June 20^th) at PureSpa, Main Street Ambler, you’re invited to the first annual art show where you’ll have the opportunity to view (and purchase) art from many local artists. PureSpa is proud to be partnering with the Lupus Foundation of America and will offer 25% off any massage, facial, or body treatment that’s booked this Friday. Merchants from Ambler have donated raffle items, and artists will be making donations to the Lupus Foundation – cocktails and hors d’oeuvers will be served.
